The Director

Daniel Lafleur is from the Buckingham area. He studied at the Conservatoire de Musique du Québec. He is presently teaching music at St Laurent Elementary School in Buckingham (Csscv).

There are so many great things to be said about Daniel. He is a man of many talents; he is a dedicated, passionate musician, who is known for his abilities as an organist, pianist, accompanist and also for his skills in the
composition of musical harmonies in his work as a choir director.

Daniel is renowned for his in-depth musical knowledge and his passion as a
teacher and choir conductor. With his extraordinary musical talents and his great respect and devotion to his colleagues, students and choirs, he has
contributed greatly to the cultural development and growth of individual
students and choirs in the Outaouais region.

Daniel is a true master in his field and an inspiration to many in the music
community. Daniel has more than 30 years of experience, he has achieved
and been acknowledged for his many accomplishments throughout his career.

One of his main accomplishments was receiving the prestigious Jean-Pierre
Guindon Award in June of 2017 in the presence of more than 250 vocalists
from his choirs.

He has participated in various choir conductor training events across the
province of Québec since 1996. In addition, l’Alliance chorale du Québec
gives him the opportunity to participate in the development of choral singing by inviting him as a guest choir director to various choral gatherings.

He is currently the conductor of the following choirs:
Heart and Soul Singers, Groupe vocal Mirage, Le Choeur La Chanterelle, and Les Coeurs à L’Unisson.
